Cleaning and Sanitization
Complete and safe hygiene
M.E.C. offers advanced CO₂ cleaning and sanitization services, designed to ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and respect for the treated materials.
Thanks to the expertise of our specialized technicians, interventions can be carried out either at our fully equipped in-house cleaning facility or, in some cases, directly at the client’s site, covering a wide range of applications, from delicate stripping to deep cleaning of machinery and surfaces.

Clean without disassembly
The CO₂ cleaning system is a “dry” process that does not require chemicals: it leaves no residues and allows immediate use of the treated surfaces.
It does not damage electrical components, sensors, switches, or electronic boards, and it is scientifically proven that dry ice can sterilize and disinfect environments and surfaces in accordance with EN556, where the probability of surviving microorganisms after treatment is 1 in 1 million.
Moreover, dry ice acts as a bactericide and inactivates viruses present in the environment, which is why it is also used in the medical sector, ensuring environmental hygiene and public safety.

CO₂ Sanitization and fumigation
The CryoSan process, or cryogenic sanitization with CO₂, allows the elimination of parasites, eggs, larvae, and pupae from both industrial environments and machinery.
During expansion, liquid CO₂ produces carbon dioxide snow (dry ice) that settles on the surfaces to be treated, lowering the temperature to -78°C.
The extreme cold, combined with oxygen displacement caused by gaseous CO₂ (asphyxiation) and targeted toxicity against parasites, ensures complete, fast, and safe sanitization.
Advantages of CO₂ Cleaning
For cleaning oils, sludge, grease, and deposits:
- No chemicals used
- Non-corrosive
- No residues to dispose of
- Can penetrate holes and crevices
- No protective measures required for components
- No surface drying needed after treatment
- No machine downtime or disassembly required
- No electrical connection needed, the machine is self-sufficient
- Reduced cleaning times and lower operating costs
- Suitable for components incompatible with water or high temperatures
For environmental sanitization:
- Allows immediate use of chairs, armchairs, and sofas, reducing waiting times
- Eliminates bacterial pollutants and allergens
- Provides a bactericidal effect beneficial for public health
- Applicable in multiple contexts: printing presses, tanks, airplanes, trains, buses,
- cars, hospitals, and other public spaces
